These sandy bays,
surrounded by high cliffs, resemble to some extent those at Broadstairs, and the aspect of Newquay is the same as that at Broadstairs for it faces mainly north.
Around those bays
are sugar lands, tobacco lands, fruit lands, and a few miles inland are the vast iron ore beds that, as they are developed, will afford employment for an army of workmen.
Crystal streams and waterfalls are pouring down the hillsides to lose themselves in one of Connemara's many bays,
and we have a glimpse of osmunda fern, golden green and beautiful.
