-
A connective tissue new formation in the skin and often occurring after traumatism most commonly of the lobe of the ear, the breast, and the face. It is of unknown origin. It occurs most frequently in the negro race. The only difference between a keloid and a scar is that the former extends beyond the limits of the latter and tends to grow.
