Clinical manifestations may include neurobehavioral dysfunction; SEIZURES; cranial neuropathies (see CRANIAL NERVE DISEASES); hypothalamic dysfunction; focal motor deficits; MYELITIS, TRANSVERSE, and other disorders. Pathologic features include multiple microinfarctions involving the CEREBRAL CORTEX; DIENCEPHALON; and BRAIN STEM (see also BRAIN INFARCTION).
