Syngenesia Polygamia aequalis. This plant pos-sesses a glutinous, bitter taste, and fragrant smell. The herb and seed are said to be diuretic and emmenagogue. They have been used in dropsies, jaundice, fluor albus, and calculous complaints; given in infusion.
