The transverse (Cervico-scapulaire-Ch.) a branch of the axillary artery, or of the subclavian: distributed to the levator scapulae, trapezius, &c. 3. The posterior or profound, A. transversa'lis colli, Trachelo-cervicale-( Ch.) a branch of the subclavian, distributed to the deep-seated muscles on the anterior and posterior parts of the neck.
