An American poet and miscellaneous writer; born in Rochester, N. Y., Aug. 7, 1843. He is a lecturer on English literature in the Catholic University of America, Washington, D. C., and is the author of "Poems"; "South-Sea Idyls"; "Mashallah"; "The Lepers of Molokai"; "Summer Cruising in the South Seas"; "The Dream Lady".
