A kind of worm, found in stagnant water, from 4 to 6 inches long, and twisted into various knots and contortions; colour pale-brown, with dark extremities. It is common in the intestines of the Laplanders; causing the Col'ica Lappon'ica, in which the gripings are, at times, exceedingly severe.
