An American religious writer; born in Ireland in 1824. He was a Presbyterian clergyman. Among his works are: "The Moral Power of the Sea" (1864); "Life at Home" (1870); "A Bachelor's Talks about Married Life" (1884); "Heavenly Recognitions".
