File transfer protocol (FTP) storage location. Computer/server site used to download or upload files electronically transferred. Used heavily in internet activities. It is not a website or a user interface as there is no display for the user. Myriad FTP sites exist, each containing openly available myriad files. Also refer to anonymous FTP.
