A Roman sophist who flourished in the first half of the second century. Of his works, written in Greek, three are extant: "Peasants' Letters", purporting to be written by peasants in Attica; "Various Histories", or narratives, in 14 books; "Of the Nature of Animals", anecdotes of animals.
