An American verse-writer; born in Marblehead, Mass., July 27, 1823; died in 1890. She published "Utterance, a Collection of Home Poems" (1852); and "Rose Hamilton", a story (1859). Her poems "Do They Miss Me at Home?\" and "The King's Quest", are widely popular.
