An agent which draws or attracts blood to a part; as a cupping-glass. The operation is termed Haemospasia, (F,)Hemospasie. It is generally applied to a process by which the air is exhausted over a considerable surface, as over one or more of the extremities, by an appropriate pneumatic apparatus.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
