An American author and journalist; born in Pierpont, N. Y., Sept. 26, 1859. He was actively connected with the press of New York for many years and was one of the editors of the New York World. His published works are "The Master of Silence" (1891); "The Still House of O'Darrow" (1894); "Eben Holden" (1900); "Dri and I" (1901); "Vergilins" (1904); "Silas Strong" (1906).
