An American author and editor; born in New Bedford, Mass., July 10, 1861. He served on the New York Herald and the St. Nicholas, and was a frequent contributor to magazines. Among his works are: "The Mystery of Eveline Delorme" (1894); "Gobolinks" (with Ruth McEmry Stuart) (1896); "The Arkansaw Bear" (1898); "The Deep Woods" (1899); "The Bread Line" (1900); "A Sailor of Fortune" (1906).
