-
Weeping. (F.) Larmoientent. The watery eye; -an involuntary and constant flow of tears upon the cheek. It is almost always symptomatic of some disease of the lachrymal passages, and occurs when the tears cannot pass into the ductus ad nasum. Occasionally, it is owing to the tears being secreted in too great quantity; as in certain cases of ophthalmia. The treatment must of course be directed to the removal of the cause.
